Randy Sarafan is an inventor, author, and a veritable ‘jack-of-all-trades equally adept at electronics, metal fabrication, writing, photography, photo editing, social media, robot building, cake baking, trend watching, sewing, data analytics, video editing, and 3D printing, etc.

Over the years, Sarafan posted hundreds of pieces of instructional content online and oversaw the creation of hundreds more as head of the Instructables Design Studio. His published books include “Homemade Robots” and “62 Projects to Make with a Dead Computer.”

Sarafan earned a BFA from Parsons School of Design and an MFA from San Francisco State University.

Eyebeam models a new approach to artist-led creation for the public good; we are a non-profit that provides significant professional support and money to exceptional artists for the realization of important ideas that wouldn’t exist otherwise. Nobody else is doing this.
